dignitas through to CEVO Finals

dignitas are the first European team to have secured a spot at the CEVO Gfinity Season 9 Finals after beating FlipSid3 Tactics 2-1 (16-8 on Mirage, 13-16 on Overpass and 16-8 on Inferno)

While in North America the CEVO Season is already in its second 16-team bracket, in Europe the first bracket tournament came to an end only last night, with dignitas claiming bragging rights - certainly a timely boost ahead of DreamHack Masters Malmö.

The Danish team, who are looking to make amends after a series of mixed results, reached the grand final without dropping a single map, moving past fm-eSports, DenDD and HellRaisers in convincing fashion.

RUBINO's dignitas advance to the CEVO Finals 

From the other half of the bracket came FlipSid3 Tactics, who were equally as impressive as they also posted 2-0 victories over Preparaton, ENCE and SK Gaming to advance to the grand final unscathed.

Despite a phenomenal display from Georgi "⁠WorldEdit⁠" Yaskin, who had the highest number of kills in the entire series, the Ukrainian team were simply outclassed as their 16-13 win on Overpass was sandwiched by dignitas' 16-8 wins on Mirage and Inferno.

dignitas and OpTic Gaming are the two teams confirmed so far for the CEVO Finals, taking place from April 28 to May at the Gfinity Arena, in London.
